Idea Gallery: Button, Made with Love - 50th Anniversary

DG20BMLA

Products used:

Southworth Item #A2000

Other Materials Used (from your favorite craft store):

  • Made with Love embellishment sheet
  • 1 yard ribbon with buttons already sewn on (found at most craft/sewing stores)
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Glue

General Instructions:

  1. Before printing cards, experiment with the placement of the embellishments. This will give you an idea where your text will go. Once you are satisfied with your embellishment placement, measure in from all sides. Jot these measurements down as they will be used in the next step to set your margins.
  2. Once in your layout program (i.e. MS Word®, MS Publisher®, etc.), set your top, left, right and bottom margins according to your measurements from Step 1. Note: In our sample, the top margin was set at 1”.
  3. Print out invitations and response/reception cards with desired text. If you need help with wording, we have sample wording for different situations.
  4. Apply ribbon and embellishments with a dab of glue.

Notes: This invitation was for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The Anniversary Quilt was presented as a remembrance gift. Guests signed the quilt when they entered the reception. The homemade theme for the invitations, response/reception cards set the stage for the event. Incorporating your event theme into your invites will tie everything together.
