  • 12"x12" Patterned Paper
  • Spool of ˝" Ribbon
  • Ruler

  • Craft Knife

General Instructions:

  1. Print out invitations on front flap horizontally. 8 ˝"x 5 ˝". Make sure text is at least ˝" away from inside embossed edge.
  2. With invitation open, use a craft knife to carefully cut out invitation area.
  3. Carefully tear around the edges of the invitation text piece. Set aside.
  4. From the 12"x12" paper, cut a piece 8 ˝" x 5 ˝". Glue it to the inside bottom of card (so it shows through the “window” created by Step 2). Glue card shut.
  5. Cut an 18" length of ribbon. Wrap around card, secure with glue on back. Be sure you start and end on the front. The piece with the text on it will cover the seam.
  6. Place invitation text piece on top of ribbon, centered in window area, and glue.

If coordinating pieces are needed, they are listed below.

Southworth Response/Reception Cards (Item #A2020), Southworth Place Cards (Item #A2030), Southworth Stationery (Item #A2040)

Notes: This sample was created for a wedding in the fall season. Rust & ivory were chosen for the color scheme. Getting married in another season? Use the same idea. Just change out the paper and ribbon colors.

Remember Southworth offers invitations in white, ivory and natural cardstock.
